Carhartt Clothing

The Carhartt clothing company was founded in 1889. Makers of durable work clothing such as coats, jackets, vests, bib overalls, jeans, thermal underwear, shirts, and boots, Carhartt has become synonymous with rugged work clothing.

Carhartt clothing has even appeared in films such as The Perfect Storm and The Horse Whisperer.

Carhartt even has children’s clothing. If you can’t find a store near you, you can purchase Carhartt clothing through the internet.

They make their clothing generously sized to allow more movement while working. The oversize quality protects the clothes from shrinking as work clothes tend to be laundered more than regular clothes. Though they are oversized, if you prefer larger size work clothes, or wear layers under your work clothes, Carhartt recommends that you purchase the next larger size than your regular size.

If your Carhartt clothing needs repair, you can send the damaged item to their factory where they will repair it for you.

When looking for work clothes that require insulation, Carhartt has many linings to choose from. If you don’t require insulation, choose the mesh lining. The Sherpa lining repels moisture away from the body. The Thermal lining is about as thick as flannel and provide room for layering other garments. The Blanket lining is just as it sounds; it is the equivalent of wearing a blanket for a liner. The Blanket liner provides medium weight insulation. The Quilt Liner is red nylon, which has been quilted to medium weight polyester. It provides great insulation. The Quilt Flannel line is like a flannel shirt that has been quilted to polyester. It provides great warmth and insulation.

The heaviest insulation is the Arctic-Grade lining. It is composed of arctic weight polyester, which has been quilted to a nylon lining. Those in coldest climates and those whose jobs require work in arctic cold temperature prefer it.

Carhartt has been providing clothes for over 100 years. They are highly respected for their durability, ruggedness, warmth, and comfort.
